We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane rigger in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
