Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations The role involves lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules.
