Join our team: we are hiring a MIG welder in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day to day you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; grind back and re-weld any defective runs. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Full-time, day shift.
