Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift erector in Lee County, Illinois. The job is on a lift modernisation project. The role involves measure rope tension and check for broken strands; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. Requirements: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
