Now hiring: sample machinist (Louisiana)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Saint Martin Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
