Immediate opening: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Wyandot County, Ohio. The job is on a high-rise tower crane. Day-to-day duties: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Rotating shifts.
