Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 4+ years on the tools preferred.
