Core maker • Churchill County, Nevada

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Churchill County, Nevada. Day to day you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift.
