Fabricator-welder — Mayes County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The job is at an automobile body shop. You will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings 2+ years on the tools preferred.
