Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus You will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
