Stainless steel welder wanted in Pope County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Pope County, Illinois. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 4+ years on the tools preferred.
