Bar bender and fixer — Montezuma County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Montezuma County, Colorado. You will be based on a busy residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
