The role involves: • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Understanding of hand and radio signals Meals and transport allowance provided.
