Furnace operator wanted in Carlton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Carlton County, Minnesota. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided.
