Garment machinist — Nnewi South

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Nnewi South, Anambra State. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Your main tasks: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
