Rigger — Queens County

Join our team: we are hiring a rigger in Queens County, New York. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals Meals and transport allowance provided.
