The role involves: • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease Ideal candidate: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
