Immediate opening: GMAW welder (Alaska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Anchorage Municipality, Alaska. You will work at a busy production line. On a typical shift you will strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
