Great opportunity: horizontal milling machine operator (Michigan)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Muskegon County, Michigan. You will be based in a toolroom. Day to day you will load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
