Now hiring: we are hiring an escalator technician in Kalawao County, Hawaii. The job is in a residential tower block. Requirements: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring On a typical shift you will fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. Full-time, day shift. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
