Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
