Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Riverside County, California. The role involves: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Overtime paid at a premium rate.
