Fettler wanted in Miami County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Miami County, Indiana. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
