Now hiring: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Howard County, Arkansas. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • A good head for heights for tower crane work On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
