Immediate opening: we are hiring a bricklayer in Sabine County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage You will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
