Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety inspector in Oscoda County, Michigan. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
