Safety officer wanted in Franklin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Franklin County, New York. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate On a typical shift you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action.
