Immediate opening: reinforcement steel fixer (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Nelson County, Virginia. You will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $30 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
