Thermal insulation technician — Jefferson County

Join our team: we are hiring a thermal insulation technician in Jefferson County, Iowa. The job is in lofts and crawl spaces. Day to day you will carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks; seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant; lag hot and cold water pipes with rockwool sections and aluminium cladding; work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations; measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings. Requirements: • Proven experience in thermal insulation and waterproofing • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Good knowledge of rockwool, XPS, EPS and PU foam Six days a week, one day off.
