We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Republic County, Kansas. The job is at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Your main tasks: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors Full-time, day shift.
