Vacancy available: shakeout operator (Scotland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Shetland Islands, Scotland. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Part-time with flexible hours.
