Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Union County, Iowa. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Part-time with flexible hours.
