MIG/MAG welder — Charlton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Charlton County, Georgia. Day to day you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
