Now hiring: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Orange County, Vermont. Day to day you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $140 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
