Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Saline County, Illinois. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Your main tasks: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go 6+ years on the tools preferred.
