Banksman • Oke Ero, Kwara State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Oke Ero, Kwara State. You will be based at a shipyard. You will read lift plans and method statements before starting; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
