Urgent requirement: die-casting operator (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Lenawee County, Michigan. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
