Pipe tig welder wanted in Highland County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Highland County, Ohio. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through 3+ years on the tools preferred.
