Dumper truck operator • Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a dumper truck operator in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. You will work at a road-building project. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures Day-to-day duties: • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
