Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Johnson County, Nebraska. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day-to-day duties: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
