Now hiring: structural MIG welder (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in New York County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
