Urgent requirement: safety marshal (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety marshal in Bethel Census Area, Alaska. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills 1+ years on the tools preferred.
