Immediate opening: we are hiring a 360 excavator operator in Chowan County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Day to day you will dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly.
