Aluminium tig welder — Callaway County

Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Callaway County, Missouri. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges $210 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
