Tig welder — Woodford County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Woodford County, Kentucky. On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
