Vacancy available: production welder (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring a production welder in Shelby County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy production line. On the job you will handle: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $20 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
