Urgent requirement: banksman (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Amherst County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Six days a week, one day off.
