Domestic gas engineer wanted in Franklin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Franklin County, Texas. You will work in a gas distribution network. Ideal candidate: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration The role involves: • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
