Reinforcement steel fixer — Covington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Covington County, Alabama. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. The role involves cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
