Join our team: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Winnebago County, Illinois. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Rotating shifts.
